Melanie Renee Sample Sale!
Embrace it, love it, buy it!
Melanie Renee Design company hosted a sample sale in downtown San Luis Obispo a couple weeks ago and if my eyes were correct, it was quite the success! With the smiles of new customers and the appearance of Melanie, the sale was clearly a fun event. Because of the presentation of beautiful garments and jewelry, the members of the company were able to capture people from off the street, not only by the hand, but by the heart. As Melanie was glowing with her beautiful pregnancy, there was also another pregnant woman who came to the sale and found inspiration in the line. The woman found a beautiful mamba that she could wear during her pregnancy and after. Very rarely will a woman find a gorgeous outfit that can be worn during and after pregnancy and that is where we find Melanie Renee Design absolutely unique and glamorous. When I say embrace the clothing, it is because wearing anything by Melanie Renee Design is an experience all of its own. When I put the clothing over my head, a striking sense of confidence sends a pulse throughout my entire body. Every piece of clothing has its own name, personality, and occasion. If you want to fall in love with something, fall in love with Melanie Renee Designs…I know I have!

Just a few months ago a photographer by the name of Baokhanh Hoang contacted me and wanted to use my line for her portfolio. I was overjoyed that she picked my pieces. She spent a whole day in Santa Barbara shooting in places like the Mission and downtown. Her photography made me smile. It gave me a chance to view my styles from a different point of view. She did a great job portraying the natural beauty that speaks volumes of my garments voice.

As a designer and business owner, I can't even explain how much time and effort goes into running a clothing line. I have been buzzing around my office trying to get my website online and promoting my label. I have been so blessed to have such a great team to work with. First of all i would like to thank God for giving me the greatest job in the world, secondly my partner, Ralph Gorton. Melanie Renee Spring/Summer '09 would not be possible without his immaculate business advice and his hot check book. Third, I wanted to thank Carrie Gorton my web designer. I could not be happier with my website and she has put countless hours perfecting it. My photographer Joshua Caine did an amazing job with not only my web site shots but my commercial shots as well. He has always been able to make his photographs emulate Melanie Renee with a touch of his own talent. Ceecee my assistant has been a doll for not only modeling for me but driving around San Luis Obispo running crazy errands for me. I want to thank Reveal salon for their tremendous work on the models, helping create the Melanie Renee Look. Sunnie Brook is oozing talent and sharing it with her staff, who also have uncharted talent. Thanks to my beautiful, carismatic models who are the Faces of Melanie Renee, Ceecee Covalkcheck , Brooke Fraser, Valerie Winsell, and Natalie Winsell. Those girls worked the camera and my heart. Thanks to my Family, my husband Craig, who has supported me from the beginning, and has put up with my crazy hours. My mom, who taught me to sew and aided me whenever I needed a helping hand. Thank you everyone who has ever purchased a Melanie Renee Garment. I am proud to announce that the Melanie Renee Design Website is officially up and running. I cannot wait to see what it brings to my future. God bless and buy a dress!!

Uptown Jeans Runway Show at Native Lounge
Last night I got to attend the Uptown show and it was so much fun! The champagne was flowing and I was beaming the entire night. Yes, I wore one of my dresses, the problem was I couldn't choose which one I wanted to wear. I got to sit VIP with the owner of Reveal Salon, Sunnie Brook Jones. She is the best and most creative hairdresser I have ever known and can I also say that she is gooorrgeeeooouus! Anyway I hope to attend the show next week. I am looking forward to seeing what Coalition has to offer.
